How to Practice When You Can't Get to a Range
TL;DRMost improvement happens off the range. You don't need a ball — you need reps with intent.

If you can't get to a range for two weeks, you don't have to lose ground. Three at-home drills — done in your living room — protect your handicap better than people think.
The three drills
- Mirror swings — 10 minutes, three positions: setup, top, impact. Just check, hold, adjust. Builds awareness no range ball ever did.
- Putting on carpet — 4-footers into a glass. 50 reps a day. Sounds dumb. Works.
- Foam-ball pitches — 30 reps to a pillow at 5 paces. Builds low-point control and a soft, accelerating wedge.
Why this works
Most amateur problems are pattern problems, not power problems. Pattern problems are fixed by reps with feedback, and your living room offers more feedback than a noisy range bay. The pro-versus-amateur gap on short putts and pitches comes from rep volume, not talent.
